Take some time today to reflect on your meals for the week. Did it consist of donuts, burgers and fries, and pizza? Did you eat vegetables other than a piece of lettuce and tomato on a sandwich? Was water your beverage of choice, or was it soda or juice?
Use the weekend to regroup by drinking lots of water, and eating balanced meals of fruits, vegetables, whole grain and lean protein. It is also a great time to plan and track your meals for the week. It is no surprise that you will have to eat, so why not prepare yourself to enjoy healthy delicious foods everyday?
My Fitness Pal is a free and easy tool that logs your meals and remembers them for future entries. It also has a tool to track your exercise, allowing you to see how many calories you burned.
A proactive approach to your meals will save you money, help you to become more mindful about what you put in your body, and inspire someone to follow in your footsteps.

I love the idea of getting back of track with your healthy eating choices. Most of my clients find “Back-on-Track Monday” works well for them. When a crazy-busy weekend of eating out and snacks crowds out the fruit and vegetables in your diet, get refocused on Monday. Don’t go on a diet on Monday, just increase your water and fruit and vegetables.
