So by now, some of you have heard of the Naked Face Project in the most recent issue of USA Today.  If not, here it is in a nutshell: Two women have decided for 60 days to go without makeup; not style their hair; not paint their nails; not wear high heels or jewelry; and not shave anything.

So what do you think?

a. Naked Face Project = Book Deal + Movie Deal

b. Free thyself from the bondage of makeup and grooming

Makeup with a Perfect Waterproof Finish

When I put on my makeup, I would like for it to set and stay on for the day.  I simply don’t want to spend a lot of time constantly reapplying makeup. So when I found out about Skindinävia’s Makeup Finishing Spray, I was intrigued and had to try it out.

A little background: Skindinävia is a line of finishing sprays that are designed to keep makeup looking fresh.  Products are available for various skin types (normal, dry, oily, and mature skin).  Skindinävia has been around since 2005, and is widely used by makeup artists.

I tried two of their products –  the Moisture Lock Makeup Finishing Spray and the Original Makeup Finishing Spray – after applying my makeup, over several days.  The directions indicate using the spray before putting on mascara, and I did just that.   I preferred the Moisture Lock Makeup Finish because it does add moisture to your skin and gives it a nice glow.  The Original Makeup Finishing Spray was best for high humidity days because it held my makeup in place without adding extra moisture.  Overall, each product did its job and I was pleased with the results.

All Skindinävia products are:

  • Hypoallergenic.
  • Paraben free.
  • Sulfate free
  • Non-Comedogenic. Oil Free.
  • Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested.
  • Colorfast tested (won’t stain clothing).
  • Made in the USA.
  • Not tested on animals.

Price: $19.00-$39.00 (depending on size)
